The National Disability Insurance Scheme is Australia’s national scheme to provide funding to all people with a disability, regardless of age of type of disability.

It is different from previous State funded schemes in that people with a disability have access to the funds which allows them to choose their support providers, the type of support they want and when they have that support.  This innovation has made a huge difference to many people and given them choices about how they live their lives.

The NDIS provides reasonable and necessary funding to people with a disability – permanent and significant,  to access the supports and services they need to live and enjoy their life.

Every NDIS participant is worked with personally to create an individual plan and set realistic goals that can be achieved by the funding received.

NDIS participants use their funding to purchase supports and services to help them reach their goals.  Everyone has different goals but they might include things like:

Temporary Transformation Payment (TPP)

The Temporary Transformation Payment (TTP) is an additional cost providers can charge as they continue to transition to working under the NDIS.
